Since I have gastrointestinal problems, I don’t use conventional antibiotics and won’t unless it means my life. Chronic overuse of antibiotics can lead to chronic yeast infections, leaky gut syndrome, and antibiotic resistance. According to research, overuse of antibiotics can destroy your immune system.
The Benefits of Natural Antibiotics
I used to get sick all the time. Every cold, flu, and virus would knock me for a loop for weeks. Sometimes, I’d get a sinus infection in January and wouldn’t get over it until May only to get one again a month later. It got to the point where my immune system was so poor, I didn’t even know what healthy felt like.
Back in 2007, I was told I had skin cancer. Now, I’m almost as pale as a vampire so I don’t ever go tanning. As a matter of fact, I hardly ever go out in the sun. I will burn, badly within 5 minutes. Because of this, I couldn’t understand how I got skin cancer on my left calf of all places. I had the surgery. There were no complications and everything was fine. I was lucky because melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer you can get.
I started doing some thinking and some research. If my complete and utter lack of tanning didn’t cause my melanoma then what did? Could it be that I’d given in to being called “Casper” and “vampire” my entire life by slathering on copious amounts of chemical-laden self-tanner along with enough synthetic sunscreen to block my pores? Maybe. Until I started reading about the dangerous effects of chemical cosmetics, including self-tanners and sunblock, I thought I was doing the best for my skin. It turns out, I was very wrong.
Joint pain is now an almost inevitable fact of life. Whether as a result of ageing, poor diet, over-exercise or a specific condition, most adults will experience some form of joint pain at some point; particularly later in life.
Although many people turn to pharmaceutical treatments, particularly NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like ibuprofen, these can lead to harmful side-effects, particularly gastrointestinal. Instead, there are some nutritional strategies that may help to ameliorate joint pain and help recover movement.
Vitamins C and D
Increasing vitamins C and D intake, either through dietary measures or supplements, may help to reduce joint pain.
When most people think about handling gum disease, treating a cavity or even getting their teeth cleaned, they automatically consider visiting a typical dentist and are not looking at how easy it is to manage these conditions naturally. Holistic dentists and holistic dentistry itself, focuses on using such treatments as Bio-compatible materials to treat cavities as well as looking at nutrition to prevent and revert dental disease.
