The Bathroom Nightmare
There you are, sitting on the toilet, doing a number two. Your phone is out, successfully distracting you from the cramping discomfort of yesterday’s meal making its inevitable descent into the bowl, and, so far, things are going well.
Then, it happens. Without warning, a loud, wet, gurgle emanates from your intestines, and your abdominal muscles seize. The mortifying sound—a cross between a sea lion and a boot being desperately yanked from mud—bounces off the porcelain and echoes off the tile walls as you double over in a fit of explosive diarrhea.
When it’s all over, you clutch at the toilet paper, pulling it out by the yard and wrapping it around your clenched fist until you’re sure you have enough to cover the damage.
When you’re as clean as possible, you flush the toilet, ready to forget the whole incident. Then, you stand up, horrified to see that the evidence of your bathroom visit is still swirling around in the bowl, the thick wad of toilet paper blocking its exit.
Fresh Assist Helps You Clean Up Without Clogging
If you’re living with a chronic digestive condition such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, or celiac disease, unfortunate bathroom incidents like the one above may happen more frequently than you’d like to admit.
Certain medications can also cause a type of irregularity that may require a more thorough clean than a handful of 2-ply can provide.
This is where Fresh Assist comes in. Fresh Assist uses a blend of essential oils and aloe to gently and thoroughly clean your bottom. The formula comes in a small, non-aerosol spray bottle that fits conveniently into your pocket or purse.
With Fresh Assist, you don’t have to worry about wet wipes or a wad of toilet paper clogging up your septic system (or, God forbid, someone else’s). You only need to spray the mixture onto a reasonable amount of TP and wipe.
My Personal Experience With Fresh Assist
I had the choice between Soothing Lavender and Cooling Chamomile, and, since lavender is my favorite essential oil, I chose that. The first time I used it, I sprayed the recommended “2-3” sprays. Well, that wasn’t quite enough for me, so I used more and wiped again.
At first, when I noticed a slight stinging sensation, I thought I might be having an allergic reaction to the product. Then, I realized that I have a tendency to be a very vigorous wiper, so my poor bottom was just sore!
After a few days of using the product, the stinging sensation vanished as I discovered I no longer had to scrub myself clean.
I’ve been using Fresh Assist for more than a month now, and I highly recommend it. It has a nice, light scent, it’s very easy to use, and it keeps you from accidentally rubbing yourself raw.
(Oh, and by the way, Fresh Assist is gentle enough to use after every bowel movement, not just the messy ones.)
My only concern about this product is it does appear to contain some synthetic chemicals I try to avoid. My personal opinion is that the benefits outweigh any possible risks since it is such a negligible amount.
Ingredients: Water, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Lavendula Officinalis (Lavender) oil, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Leaf extract
However, as with any new product, I encourage you to do your own research on any ingredients you question to ensure you have the healthiest experience.
If you’re looking for a discreet, confident clean after you do number two, pick Fresh Assist as your number one!
